Founded by husband and wife team Gianni (Sicilian) and Karen (English) in 2002,
Ceramica D’Arte Ltd aims to bring the very best of Sicilian ceramic art to the UK
and beyond.
Finding ceramic art that reflects Sicily’s true artistic
heritage isn’t easy, and there are many decorative ceramic products made in
Sicily and sold all around the world. Sometimes these products are signed
with an artist’s name but actually painted by casual workers, many of whom are
not Sicilian.
Ceramica D’Arte aims to seek out and find those artists who are
largely unknown, but who produce ceramic art of high quality, reflecting
Sicily’s true heritage. Working in partnership with these artists,
Ceramica D'Arte is able to provide the support they need to sell their products
abroad.
All the products
which can be used for storing or serving food & drink have been tested in the UK
and conform to the British Standard BS6748: 1986.
